architecture+nature: photos

I'm kind of obsessed with architecture right now. It's funny how life in every aspect parallels nature. Tall buildings equated with trees, creatures crawling everywhere (oh wait, that's the lunch rush), little gardens that reminisce of times where foliage was wild, man made fountains reminding us that natural springs do exist! That said, enjoy these shots of

california acadamy of sciences: photos

I took a quick and free trip through the newly opened and green California Academy of Sciences (thanks Wachovia Wednesdays, poor students can spend their $20 ELSEWHERE eating an unnecessarily gourmet sandwich, score.)

Gorgeous and well thought out spatial planning, beautiful exhibits. What intrigued me most was the rainforest globe (with spewing humidifier and butterflies, oh yes.) So unbelievably unreal!

I witnessed a stunning underground aquarium with beautiful visuals and an exotic array of aquarian species.
Check out the living roof as well. Equipped with shiny new solar panels; its vision unites nature and technology by placing the museum "under" Golden Gate Park. Well played brilliant tree hugger architects, well played. Enjoy the following visuals...
